Ashwini Raghupathy
Ashwini,
the Director of HCF has a rich experience of over 12 years as a teacher
and trainer. Her specilization lies in working with children as she was
trained by Sesame Street where she worked for over a year in the field
of pre-school education. She worked in creating material for Sesame
Workshop which helped children learn math, science and language through
play and activities. She has wroked extensively with street theatre
movements across Karnataka, Jharkand and Orissa.
She has conducted workshops with Infosys, Valley School, Oxfam, Greenpeace, Sesame Street, ICDS Governme
nt of Karnataka etc. She also runs ARPANA an organization that works to revive Indian art forms for which she was nominated to the UNESCO's CID.
Gaurav
With
over ten years of experience (and boundless passion), Gaurav has
trained and engaged in all kinds of climbing and has participated in
zonal, national and international levels of competition. An experienced
climber he has a basic mountaineering degree from NIM (Nehru Institute
of Mountaineering). He is a facilitator for Natventure, IDiscoveri,
IQuest India, Hippo Campus, Dragonfly Hong Kong etc. Gaurav has also
been comissioned by the Army to train their Belgaum cadets in climbing.
He has been constantly recognized by industry peers for his communication skills and disposition with children.
Saviyo
Saviyo
has learnt and mastered unique skills like Dance therapy, Sound
therapy, Ashtanga and Kundalini Yoga, and Meditation. Saviyo has an
insatiable hunger for learning. With all the
accolades and degrees under his belt, he still looks for opportunities
to learn.
Saviyo has learnt Kathakali for eight years from Kalamandalam and Uma
Kala MemorialNattyolok, Kolkata, and Bharatanatyam for seven years from
Nrityabitan and Parampara. He gained invaluable exposure to
international artists and various contemporary forms at the Attakkalari
centre for Movement. From them he learnt and mastered unique skills like
Dance therapy, Sound therapy,Ashtangaand Kundalini Yoga, and
Meditation.
His in-depth analysis of various dance forms, and music are revealed in
his creative improvisations. His experiences in classical dance forms,
sound therapy, martial art forms, music, western classical and modern
dance forms, get blended and evolve into a unique, contemporary dance
form, giving them a unique flavor.
He has worked as the Artistic
director for the KLVAC dance company, as a dance teacher at St. John's
International School and St Denis School, Kolkata and as the Yoga
trainer (faculty) for Diploma at the Attakkalari Centre for Movement,
Bangalore.
Sushma Adavi
Sushma
has a PG diploma degree in event management and an MBA
in media & entertainment (films and new media) and has worked in
different
media fields in Bangalore and Mumbai. She now focuses on her primary
interests of theatre, accessory making and make- up. She has been
trained and worked in theatre throughout her college years and is also a
trained dancer. She conducts activity/arts and crafts classes for kids in Malleswaram
where she is known for her creative use of thratre to inculcate
story-telling in children. She also runs a company which makes
customized orders for jewellery and cosmetics.
